Nestled in the heart of Kentucky's bourbon country, Barrels of Crafts was born from a simple idea: that the end of a barrel's life in the distillery is really just the beginning of something beautiful.

Our Story

We're a family-operated business based in Harrodsburg, Kentucky – a place where bourbon heritage runs as deep as the limestone springs that make our whiskey famous. What started as a passion project quickly grew into something we couldn't keep to ourselves. We saw the incredible character in every retired bourbon barrel – the rich, toasted wood, the deep amber stains, the decades of history soaked into every stave – and knew these materials deserved a second life.

Today, from our workshop, our creative team handcrafts one-of-a-kind pieces that bring a piece of Kentucky's bourbon legacy into your home.

From Barrel to Heirloom

Every piece we create starts with sourcing retired barrels from Kentucky's finest distilleries. Once a barrel has done its time aging fine bourbon, we carefully disassemble, clean, and inspect each stave and hoop. No two barrels are alike – and that means no two pieces we make are ever exactly the same.

We then get to work, shaping, sanding, and finishing each piece entirely by hand. We embrace the natural character of the wood – the char marks, the grain variations, the subtle color differences – because those imperfections are what make each creation truly unique. You're not just buying a product; you're taking home a piece of Kentucky history.
